hi guys im new here so please dont bite.

first of all ive bought my first range rover(1992 vouge se model) yesterday also my first ever auto and im in need of some advice on it,on my way home in it last night i noticed my brake and battery lights come on and go off a few times any ideas please also is it me or do you really have to push the rangie to get it to change gears as it seemed to hold out befor changeing or maybe its just me being used to driving manuals for 4 years.

its just you used to manuals, dont forget they only have 3 gears but a longer ratio, as for the battery light its common for them to start slipping in this weather, was it when pulling awa by any chance or when steering?
and stick your head under and check how much beef is left on the pads bud.
craig.

Your 92 Vogue has the ZF 4 HP22 auto box - 4 speed. These can suffer from sticky valves as they get older. The gearchanges should happen quickly and almost unoticably. Try a oil and filter change on the box first and see if this helps, otherwise it may be a trip to the specialist or a re-con box.

could someone please point me in the right direct of somewhere showing my how i change the seals on a steering box as im going to try that and some lucas stop leak aswell before i go down the changing the box over route
