Hello folks,

Having wanted a Land Rover all my life, I had settled on buying an older Defender to run around in during the winter (I have a 2-seater sports car for summer). A life-long Landy owner mate of mine then worked his evil magic and a couple of weeks ago I took the plunge and bought a 2008 demonstrator 90 County Station Wagon. Chuffed to bits with it. Haven't planned any serious off-roading, but you never know in future. Couple of things I wanted to know:

I live in Angus, is there an independent specialist nearby should I decide to have any work done (on the vehicle that is, not me...)?

Any suggestions on how to improve on the new model? I believe chipping, changing air filters, intercooler etc are all worthwhile on the older models, but does that apply to mine?

I'd like to fit new lamp surrounds, grille, lamp guards, A-bar etc, any preferred brands?

Thanks in anticipation for any suggestions...:)
