Hi people
Just joined the forum, loads of useful information. Im after a range rover but with the new headlight conversion. Does anyone know anyone with a good condition and good conversion one. Also how much can i expect to be paying for one of these nowadays.
Thanks in advance guys and gals, info much appreciated

think its a case of searching, the light kit is the least of your worries, concentrate on getting a good mechanical condition car first

Wot he sed^^^^^Ifg yer lights are the only thing your bothered about look to another marque

there is one of them upgraded ones on ebay n reg i think, but again look for a good one the lights are the least of your worries with a p38!

Are they really that bad! I would of thought being that much 5 grand for a tdv6 they wud be mechanically sound. What sort of problems should i look out for.
Thanks guyz

lets be realistic, prices on the open market for range rovers are falling like grand pianos, if you have cash, you are in charge. If you are going for a diesel p38, about 1996-98, expect to pay between £1200-£2200, depending on spec and mileage. Adjust this for age, the fresher the model. Petrol V8 (4.0-4.6) possibly slightly more as they tend to have a higher quality spec. LPG is a good option, lots on ebay at present, slightly dearer but value long term due to fuel price ( about 51ppl).

Have said to others before, try the dealer network. They will have yards full of trade ins from the last 6-12 months. They arent shifting much at the moment so will be glad for a couple of grand in cash coming through the business. Get a bargain and get it warrantied and checked. I got a 1995 p38 dtse for £1500, perfect working order, but no mot. Just washed it put it through, no probs. Inspector said it was a beauty, would i sell it!!!!

TDv6 is a d3 or rr sport injun. Dont think they are in the p38.You'll get a bmw/omega injun in them

i think youve been scared enough yes p38 has its probs ,lpg goood idear ,cosmetics re headlight upgrade fancy wheels chrome bit hear and there mean nothing if engines not sound [unless you just want it to look nice on the drive] you can now get a lot of car for little money as nobodies buying big cars[exept us ]:bounce::laugh::welcome:
