Hubs - so that you can drive in 2wd without the front propshaft, diff and driveshafts turning - it's a fuel saving measure. Disadvantages? They sometimes seize so you don't know if you're in 2 or 4wd, you have to get out in the mud/snow to put them in 4wd if you get stuck and forget to put them in 4wd before you leave home and you have to remember to drive with them in 4wd occasionally to lubricate the top swivel bush. They also stick out a bit - I snapped one clean off on a rock once on a Cornish road, decided they were more trouble than they were worth for the sort of driving I was doing (mostly local short distance stuff)and fitted plain hubs. Shouldn't be too difficult to swap - what sort are they? Someone here might know the procedure,,,,,
Paint? what colour is a piece of string? Touching up with the correct colour (if it's still original) isn't likely to work too well because the paint will have faded. Anyone good with paints on here?
