Hi All, looking for a bit of advice please. I just treated myself to an ex mod 88", got myself booked in for the weekend Eastnor show and have a couple of bits to do to get it ready. My questions are should it have free wheeling hubs? It hasn't got them ay the minute. What are the best ways of getting more room in the cab? I'm 6'1" and of large proportions to the point that the steering wheels sits nicely on my belly. Which seats/steering wheel give the most room (currently got 300 disco seats in it and original steering wheel). Is it possible to move the rear bulkhead back/replace it with a bar? Had a look this evening and it looks like the inner wheel arch and fuel filler being in the way would make it tricky.
Cheers

take the disco seats out and fevert back to standard series seats wich will give more room for the beer tank and a little more headspace but at the expense of losing a little comfort with not having the disco seats anymore

its a case of 6 of one thing and half a dozen of the other :D:D:D

And no it wouldn't have had FWH in service ...

Some folks reckon they are worth having ...having a S3 109 FFR that was fitted with them when i bought it

And having tried them engaged and disengaged over the same run for a goodly time i can report that they are VITAL ......

For standing on to reach into the engine bay :screaming_bug_eye_f

As for more legroom ...please have your legs shortened rather than chopping the middle bulkhead out ex-mili 88's are thinner on the ground than 109's

If it's a rare thing I think i'll try the seats and a steering wheel first, I didn't really want to chop it about anyway, I've already got a ton of checker plate to remove that someone that it would be good idea to ruin it with already.

seats out of a 90 or 110 are a direct replacement for originals and provide a small amount more comfort than series items. they will also give more room. if you can cope with heavier steering, a smaller after market steering wheel will give more clearance.
