Hi all.
Just acquired 03 L322 4.4 with gas 82K miles. Booked in garage for service and check over on Fri to find out wot I have bought. Anything in particular I should be checking or looking out for. Preventative maintenance ?
Suspension raises and lowers ok but doesn't settle at right height, front is higher than back, hopefully just a reset will cure that.
Thanks Ken.

The search function is a powerful tool on here. It will uncover the wealth of information you require :)

Thanks Data will be doing all fluids and filters, but it was the other stuff like the vanos etc that you knowledgeable guys could advise me on.
Thanks Ken.

Hi Steve, local garage I use for all my vehicles will be doing standard service plus if it's a keeper will be doing over and above standard stuff as preventative measures.

Hi don, not to be too specific East Yorkshire.

ok.
so a long way from me in the midlands.

looks as though you have it covered with a local good guy.
Make sure he follows RAVE. Some of the bits on the RR do not follow std ops.

best of luck.

Re the suspension . The front is supposed to be higher than the back. Where in east yorks are you? I'm in hull and have an all comms if you need it re calibrating

Hi Paul.
Thanks a lot for offer of recalibration, I will see how I get on in the garage on Friday. Also intermittent problem with steering wheel memory. I am just down the road from you near Driffield.
Ken.

No it just seems to forget where it should go back to so I end up with it sat on my knee, powers in and out plus up and down ok, just seems to be a memory fault.

I see , steering column is a common failure I'm afraid. Often the best option is to lock it in the desired position . Even though mine works perfectly I've chooser to lock it to prevent the inevitable.

Good question! I've never tried moving mine manually since turning it off! I'll try it tommorow and let you know

I disabled my automatic movement of the steering wheel due to fear of failure....can still be moved using the stalk and/or the seat memory buttons, but stops it from moving in and out all the time when the ignition is switched on and off!

Sounds just like what I need, hopefully when I get time in a couple of weeks Paul will be able to do it for me with his all comms, would be good to meet up and see what the all comms is capable of (and Paul) :)

Still won't stop the shaft snapping off inside the column !

Main reason they fail is because of people using the steering wheel to pull theirselves in and out of the car
