hello
i am new to this so be kind
i have a m reg p38 4.6 lpg its been fine with no real problems :)
but i had not used it for about two week and when i tried to start her the battery was dead , not a problem jump started her and away i went .
got to where i was going , turned het off and thought i would try and see if it would restart , did no problems thought great locked up all was happy again . on my return pressed the unlock button but the drivers door did not unlock , as it turns out it was only the rear doors . tried it again when i got home and on the button its only the two rear doors that unlock , but on the key its all but the front passanger door , looked though and have checked the fuses . can anyone help

I'd start by fully charging the battery and see how you go. P38's do all sorts of wierd stuff when battery is low.

sounds very familar, try charging battery.if problems persist, disconnect r/f recieve[under o/s parcel shelf support],change front locks,if problem cured i.e all locks open using key in drivers lock and no flat battery, change r/f reciever to the latest from R/R or a indy R/R parts supplier.do not buy one of fleabay,it could be an old one seller claims that it is later model.symptoms same as mine,r/f waking becm up which was relocking front locks.this could happen many times when parked locked.this will burn out locking motors in the front locks and flatten battery.good luck

thanks for your replies , the battery is charged , and does not seam to drop so i guess thats a good thing but still have the problem:confused:
going to try and disconect the receiver without changeing the locks first , if its still the same will look at changing the locks and see how that goes

hi me again
i have disconceted the sensor , made sure the battery is fully charged but still have the same problem
also i have found out that if i lock / unlock the pasanger door that unlocks and looks all the other doors apart from the drivers door
anyone had the same problems ?

Locking or unlocking the passenger door or the drivers door on the door button should lock or unlock all doors. Sounds like you have a problem with the drivers door lock.

going to swap the drivers door lock on wednesday with one from a mates car that he is haveing some bodywork done and we know works i hope it works dont know what else to try

me again , sorry , i have swapped over the door locks for both front doors with ones that we know works and sill have the same problem .
if i lock/unlock the car with the remote only the rear doors open and lock
if i open/ lock the car with the key on the drivers door all doors and tailgate lock / unlock apart from the front passanger door . if i lock / unlock from the front passanger door all doors lock and unlock apart from the drivers door

Well in that case i would say the drivers lock is not is not talking to the passenger lock. Have you checked the wires going into the door for breaks? If you have fitted a known good lock then that is the only thing left.

i cant see any broken wires and all looks ok connection wise , we are going to try a tester on each wire at the weekend to see if there is a break we cant see but not holding much luck , but who nows ,
thanks for your help :)
