Hi , Being new to this and afraid of making myself look a complete idiot , I'm after some advice please. . I need some better wheels for tracktion when out and out in the fields and on the hill !! Is it best to get some steel wheels an each some all terains on them or stick to the alloys I have and stick some all terains on them ??? Any advice would be a great help !!

its the tyres wot matter - the wheels are just a means of mounting the tyres to the drive shafts. get the wheels yu like the look of.

The wheels you have are fine, just get some all terrains for on and off road use, or some mud terrains if spend most of your time off road

On the subject of TYRES...I've got a 1998 defender 90 with "BF Goodrich all terrain T/A LT235/85R16 120/116S" tyres on some nice looking alloys and very rarely go off road so I was wondering what is the best tyre pressure to run them on to get the best wear ???

the pressure stated as recommended in the owners manual anything else you are breaking the law and will get points and insurance will be nil and void if you are found to be driving an unsafe vehicle

Sorry it's been a while for a reply ,,,But does this mean even if I've changed from the original tyres to a/t's and alloys the tyre pressure should still be the same as per the owners manual ???

depends on what your doing with your landy! towing? fully loaded? on your own? off road? mud? rocks? etc etc

Very boring i'm afraid but just unloaded, on road, back and fore work ,running wife and kids around, with the occasional bit of green laning chucked in for fun.Going to bed now but will check back tomorrow night and try again .
