Afternoon all just bought my first disco 1 it’s a beauty, I come from a background of fronteras, (sorry for the blasphemy) and have just signed up to this today as could use some advice on a few bits. Thanks guys and gals. Kevo

It already has majority of the work done it’s got all guards and bash plates under her skirt a 2” lift just need a snorkel wheels and tyres and I’ll be somewhere near. It’s the wheel and tyre sizes I’m looking for assistance with, heard some real horror stories

It all seems in good Nic to be fair no soft areas and the boot seems solid, couldn’t poke a screwdriver through. And from what I been told this is quite a common area for the stuff.

Sounds like a D1 - about 1990 up to 1998 (ish) ...

Is it a 200TDi or 300TDi or a petrol or even an early TD5, I think a few are about ?

It’s a 300tdi from what the paperwork says it is the one in my profile pic I need to look under bonnet cause apparently there are abs and none abs snorkels so I have to see if there is a module of some discription behind the air box, and my other biggy is the good old ear blank I’ve heard good and bad about blanking off more good though and the kits are cheap and easy enough to do. Any thoughts.

Becarefull with the new MOT regs and EGR blanking, it may pay tp clean it and see what the results are .. but that said, cleaning the EGR valve will still leave the intercooler and inlet manifold crudded up ...

Thanks this far for the information kind sir I’m gonna do some homework on how to remove those items and make them shiny again.
