Using a TOP TEC MTF 5100 75W oil reasoning that it was slightly thicker than MTF94, so would 'quieten the box' but no too thick as to cause the pump an issue.
Normally (before these issues i've been creating for myself, I used Dexron III, which is an ATF and slightly thinner than MTF94.

A gearbox has, this is it's third one ....

All done. All back together, few other wee niggles fixed at the same time and a new temp and boost gauge fitted.

It starts sweet, runs slightly smokey and the gbox rattles in 4th and 5th.
All the matting is in.

Going from a 1.2 to a 1.4 transfer box has made a big difference and over the next few days i will be testing/trying out the V8 5th gear.
