hello everyone, just joined this site as I am thinking of buying my first landy, I need one for work as well as a family run around to tend to horse. I am a gardener so need to be abel to put a lawnmower in the back of one and small tools . don't really want a discovery as it would get dirty inside very soon, although they seem to be more available in my price range , any advice would be helpful 200 , 300, engine which one is best??? and what should I be looking out for .

disco 300tdi , check for rust and rust and rust

Disco very able on all accounts, can fit a lawnmower etc in a 90 and more room again in a 110.
Most say 200 TDI, though 300 also really good, I have an ex MOD 110, not fast no turbo but parts cheap, solid and I love it.
For family run about as well I would say Disco, pains me as a total defender and series fanatic, but weigh up what its needed for overall, and yes check for RUST and service history. Good luck
