hi my names andy and iv just got my first 2006 landrover Range Rover vouge.
She's needing a couple of bits worked on but is a super car that iv always wanted to own but never thought I would be able to (got offered it for a price I couldn't say no to ) I'm just hoping iv not made a huge mistake but time will tell I suppose.
So glad i found this site with people that know about land rovers I'm hoping you's want mind some stupid questions from a newby

You'll have to work real hard to make your questions 'more stupid' than mine.. Be good to have a bit of competition though as I'm dominating the stupid department at the moment

Congrats on buying your new steed :)

Thanks I'm afraid they don't come much thicker than me buddy but I'm sure there's someone out there that could possibly make my question look ok
I'm loving the car already keep getting a suspension fault warning will need to get it looked at it's lowering and lifting as it should but a little worried there's something going on that I'm not seeing

10 days into life with my SIII and still grinning. Blind buy off fleabay after months of stalking. Very original condition, she'd been SORN on a farm for 4 years after MOT failure. Planned on getting some chassis repairs done and sorting out any major bits to have her able to do local station run and some pottering at weekends. Ended up doing a full galv chassis replacement and all the usual bits replaced while the body was off. Amazing job by Dave and the guys at Safari Engineering in Eversley. Hants in 10 days flat!. Bit of a 'cheat' I know, but I was never going to have the time to do that much work myself.
Enjoying tinkering with the interior and sorting out a bit of bodywork and paintwork without creating a show pony.

Welcome to lz, mate! :)

Any pics of the series?

Sound like u going to have a nice car when you're done
I'm not to good way engines but willing to try the easier fixes if I can and doing the cosmetic mines isn't needing to much done I'm changing the grill and air vents putting side steps on so my dad can get in easier but I'm going to have to find a good mechanic to do the hard parts
Iv been told it sounds like 1 of the cylinders might not be right . When I'm sitting way the engine running it's a bit shuddery .
If anyone could point me in the way of a good mechanic in the Glasgow area it's hard to find one that's no going to over charge been ripped of in the past so I'm a bit worried when using one
Thanks again for any help guys I'm going to take some pics tomorrow to post
