Hello, everyone. I have had Land Rovers for over forty years and am incurable. I have to have an old Series to play with, and am fortunate enough to have a Disco Sprot as well.
I came to this site as I was looking up a wiring query and was led here by finding a really good coloured diagram which is not totally appropriate to my 88" truck 1972 as it is for a Lightweight.
My truck was recently attacked and door and window locks broken, the shroud smashed off the column and the steering/ ignition lock cut away to be operated by a screwdriver. Luckily my cunning device flattened the battery before it started. Two days later a similar local vehicle was taken and ram-raided a cash machine. The unseen damage to the wiring is becoming apparent, and although I have the genuine manual from owning series 3s in the 70s, it is different on this truck. It has a brown and orange wire feeding the heater switch (like it shows on the Lightweight diagram) I wonder if anyone can point me to the diagram for 88" petrol with the brown and orange wire, please?
