Hi people do any of you kind hearted people no where to buy a recon td5 engine? Not a bodge job the mutts nuts?

I have been looking at Turner engines. I hear (from online folks) they are tremendous.

Let us know what you find and who you go with.

Thanks I just had a look... 4 and a half grand not nice... Not nice at all

I think for a recon engine from any known supplier you are going to be looking at least 3K.
And that is going to be without ancillaries.

Christ that is a lot of money! Was thinking of having a spare engine incase mine blew up or something but sweet Jesus that is crazy prices

You want quality then you will have to pay, or you could buy an knackered old D2 and use the engine out of that. Maybe give it a refresh, Plus have the rest of the car to scrap or break and sell.

Rusty Discovery 2 with under 100,000 miles if you can.
The TD5 should be good for 200,000+ if looked after.
Change the exhaust manifold, FPR, injector harness, and try to get a 15p engine rather than the earlier 10p.

Look at copart, always D2s on there, often they can be seen/heard running before sale.
The whole car will often cost under under £1k, buy it break it.
