hi ive got a 4ltrm plate v8 disco also runs on lpg . any 1 know which tax band this will fall in? im expecting the worse just need it confirming so i can start savin lol

I may have been living in a parallel universe, and missed most of the budget information...but...
Does this not mean that any "Car" first registered before 23rd March 2006 can only be charged at the maximum rate of £205?
Only cars first registered after that date can be charged the full £300.

What is the truth???

thats how it reads, regardless if it is petrol or diesel, hence most of us on here are not too bad off with band f or lower.:)

What reg is your landy? As mentioned above if its registered pre 2001 there is only two bands 1)below 1.5lt 2)above 1.5lt just how it was b4 the budget.

Well I hope so cos ive got a v8 as well:eek:

use the link above..... if it has timed out then click home, vehicle enquiry, next and then enter your vehicle details.
it will tell you the tax rate for your car.

if you then want to know what specific band, then click here The cost of vehicle tax for cars, motorcycles, light goods vehicles and trade licences : Directgov - Motoring and find it by the price given above

an educated guess for you would be tc11 £180. as "m" reg being '94-'95 hence before 2001. therefore only two bands based on engine size not co2 output.

hi thanx 4 the replies guys . well mine shud drop in the 180 qwid bracket then i canlive with that

Yes, £180 for your M plate Disco. £205 for my Y plate TD5 which probably polutes a lot less.
Still, my '72 VW Beetle is free road tax and I hate to think what that chucks out the back!
