i've decided to get rid of the air shocks on my 90, am i right in thinking that a set of OME's are the best to go for with standard springs? Is changing them easy ie, take off old air shocks, fit new ones and remove compressor?
OME's are meant to be very good... made for the outback aren't they. I fitted Terrafrima they are good value. Make a nice ride.
Replacing the shockers is a straight forward spanner job. Take care to chock the wheels and stick it in diff lock when jacking it up, especially when using a hi-lift.
bought it cheap with them on, front right corner keeps loosing air and i reckon in the long one they will be more of a pain to repair.
how much should i be looking at spending on this kit? cheers
IMHO
OEM shockers are all ****e for a vehicle of this weight and suspension design. Go for ones with a higher volume of fluid than std. Armstrong make them and so do others.
