Hi All,

P38, 1995, Diesel.

The existing stereo system in my RR is an aftermarket job with kit to convert old system to aftermarket radio, high line system. However it is making a buzzing noise whilst located the issue the age of the wiring and how it has been wired, I am thinking of using the aftermarket radio and installing a new amplifier in the boot with new speakers and tweets all round including new wiring.

Just wondered if anyone has done this to their RR P38 and if any advice can be offered or a guide to do this install or a system they bought that worked?

I am keeping RR long term as done a lot of work on it so might aswell spend the money have something decent to listen to!!

Thanks,

Thanks could you copy the link? the speakers on mine are shot to be honest whoever had a go before has damaged them, wiring is pretty poor

There were numerous setups put in these things. Why someone tinkered with the original high-line setup is a mystery to me. Did yours have the Harmon Kardon system? Does the HK have low resistance speakers or is that me mixing something up?

Probably easiest to just replace like for like from a scrapper.

Yeah it had a Clarion radio and HK got 3 speakers in the door, wiring absolute bodge so even if replaced with a scrapper its figuring where all wiring goes. Nightmare.
