if you was to wire them up to yer lights so that they came on with main beam. use a relay then your switch wont have to cope with excess currentHi,
i would also wire them up to a switch as my highbeam couldnt cope with 4 55watt spots and 2 150watt spots,It caused no end of problems and went rough a few stalks. Now they are on a switch i have had no trouble
Why illegal?
Fog lights have a height restriction but not driving lights, that comes from this months muddy landy mag.
Could be wrong but the amount of trucks, lorries, 4x4s etc that are driving around with them on i would be surprised.
Al
If you have light with a switch on them they are classed as work lights
Lots of people drive at over 70 mph, that doesn't make it legal.
Can't argue with the actual regulations, although I couldn't make head or tale of then either, but apparently UK market Tomb Raider Defenders icame with an all important relay missing, the parts department would sell you one, but LR couldn't sell the vehicle with the lights wired up!
