A new one-off, special edition Defender has just been announced, looks quite good (looks wise), all proceeds from auction going to charity.

2 Millionth Defender

looks like someones got the seats wet and stained them.

Cant see anything special about it to be honest. Im sick of special this and special that. Its only a defender. Sticking badges on it is just the way sales people try to con you out of a few more quid.

Well I guess there is only one being made and the proceeds from the auction are going to charity, makes it okay in my book ;)

I bet Bear Grylls just pretended to fix his little bit on then promptly went back to his hotel whilst someone else fitted it properly

I have a healthy dislike for Bear Grylls :p Ray Mears is much more up my alley :) And Theo Pathetis, wonder if the Entertainment system can now give business advice? :D

Or off-roading advice? "You haven't thought this through, it just won't work.... I'm out!" *Defender engine shuts off*

Nooooooooooo I so want a limited edition new defender to keep forever and ever.... I doubt this will be it :(

+1 if they had fitted a diesel V8 and auto trans out of a RRover , then it might just earn the description "Special" the one shown isnt far off
"special" as in "needs"

I'm sure they'll do the usual trick, something along the lines of:

"Due to the overwhelming feedback, we have decided to do a limited production run of 500, we'll call them 'the 2 million 500' and they will retail at £2,000,500 each, but the general public won't be able to buy them, only the elite will be contacted and offered the opportunity, no doubt they will look amazing having never been driven a single mile or even seen a single particle of mud, instead stored in a vacuum sealed, glass windowed room from which the owner can then point at it and show how filthy stinking rich they are..."

Or something along those lines anyway...

they should have done a hand built series as well :)

though i guess it wouldn't be road legal

But Defenders didn't arrive till 1984!

True!! I didn't pick up on that, well spotted :D

And here is proof of his little fibs :p

Bear Grylls 3 cars, A Disco, a Taxi and a series 2 (I think?)

BTW, notice the Taxi's L-plate? *face palm*
