Armstrong or Boge have always been good for me.

I have just fitted a set of Terrafirma Gas shocks. they seem to do the job for a sensible price. I have no idea of their longevity - ask me again in a few years:D

I also fitted some Terrafirma Gas dampers last November (tf202 kit with sproings) and they seem good. It's hard to tell if they were really stiff at first and have now settled into a more compliant ride, or I'm just used to them more now? I think they've settled and now allow a bit more body roll than at first. Happy enough with them though.

There is a little bit of rust appearing on them though which is crap, but the springs are more rusty already :( Don't suppose the warranty would cover that...

My terrafirma shocks and springs are so rusty after 6 months that they look crap and I'm considering either swapping them or getting them powder coated. The ride is fine though even after some pretty harsh green laning and Medium duty seems to be perfect with all of the expedition gear loaded.

Britpart cellular dynamic are supposed to be quite good as well. Would have bought those but it worked out cheaper to get the TF ones with the springs.

Would probably avoid pro comp dampers though..

I have Armstrong on mine, they have been there for 2 years, done thousands of miles off road in Morocco and 15k on road and are still in good nick and work. I don't think they were expensive either if I remember something like £40 a pair.

Think i'd be having words with terrafirma about that!!
