Yes, I managed to fix this. I had it quite badly, although not quite as much water as yours by the looks of it.

All I did was drill a few tiny holes in the covers. I used a extremely small drill bit, probably about 1mm, and did two holes at the bottom and two at the top.

You may wonder why I did the top as well; this was to allow water to evaporate out, and also to stop a vaccum effect stopping the bottom holes from working.

The holes are almost invisible to the naked eye but have worked very well, I've had no condensation since.

Thanks Voguely, I'll strip them down at the weekend and see if I can do the same. Someone mentioned a recall but on a 2003 car think that may be wrong. They look like something from halfords not from a £60,000 car

Your light units are from a later model and may be after-market parts.

There should be a vent tube at the back. Make sure that this is not obstructed.

If they are both the same, it could be that they are cheap imitations and are not vented.

Garioch - Sorry, but they aren't. They are from the model year of his car.

Glideman - you don't need to strip them down and take them out to drill, I did mine in place (needed a long extension lead mind! ha!). Although you might want to strip them if you have green mould in the in the bottom which it looks like you have a bit of.

When you drill them (if you decide to do that method) then you might find you have to 'help' the water out by rubbing over the bottom hole with your finger, or sticking a paper clip/pin in as the surface tension in such a small hole stops water from just running out naturally sometimes. However this is only needed for the first time to get any excess water out. After that it shouldn't gather water in there again as it will just evaporate out small amounts.

I took one bulb out overnight then refited the next day, this let all the moisture out and after replacing the bulb again it never happened again. but looking at yours it seems there is a small gap bottom right letting water in, could try sealant after drying it all out too.

Thanks for all the help guys, yes they are gen oem lights they have the logo on them. I'll have a go on sat and post some pics if it works out. As for borrowing a hairdryer from a Gaylander owner I don't know any
