Hi all
I’m just about to buy a Range Rover sport hse 2006 model of a friend and though it has been well looked after it needs a few things to make it look the part , how much should I be looking at to pay for 20-22 inch alloys , and are the old original sport alloys worth anything. Thanks in advance

Welcome:)

As for what your taste in “needs to look better” I can’t help.

All I would say is do some research bigger rims+ low profile tyres+ potholes and it gets expensive on tyres and possibly rims (the way I here uk roads going).
So consider it wisely.
Other than that as long as you can trust your mate and everything works enjoy it:)

Welcome. Not sure what you want your vehicle to 'look the part' of , but don't forget it might be the little sister Range Rover and it might say Sport but it is still a 4x4, not a sports car, and there is limited clearance once you started putting large rims on it. Which leads to rubber band tyres , and everything that comes with that.
Maybe , pop over to the Range Rover section and speak to some of the Sport owners and those who know about all the ins and outs of changing rims , etc. You might realise it already 'looks the part' of a 4x4 ;)

They are heavy vehicles despite all the plastic. They will shred tyres on corners with 22” wheels I should imagine with standard EAS suspension as they would need rubber bands to not catch underneath with wheel turned. Thin tyres for a 3T 4x4 won’t be cheap

Check out the RR section L322 gurus in there

@Henry_b would probably know

I endeavour to beat anyone with a damp piece of bacon when they suggest more than 18" tyres on a RR. even a sport!!

The ride will be unbearable

The tyres will be eggspensive

The car will look ridiculous

etc etc

22” is fine if they are spinny ones (shhh don’t tell him I’m lying:rolleyes:;))

Spinny and with crystals. You have an air of mischief around you tonight images.jpeg
