Bought a bargain project P38, spent over 3 weeks of toiling.
The car ised to be a 4.6 hse but now has a 4m40 diesel engine with alot less power. The motor runs strong and the suspension has no leaks! Chuffed!

Unfortunately im having issues getting it insured with its modified engine. Has anyone out there got suggestions on where i can get some decent insurance that wont rip me off on this slow diesel chugging box?

TIA

I had a similar insurance problem when I recently bought an ex MOD Defender 110 - A2 Snatch armoured.

Thanks! Adrian flux were my previous insurers, decent company but £1300 is a little steep!

Sounds like a cool rig!

A mitsubishi 4m40 in a P38 oof!

Thats gonna make the M51 look like a rocket ship!!

Welcome!
That was my dream, but this was the only one i could find that had a mint black leather interior (besides the classic JLR headliner) low miles and zero rust!

A Flux do tend to charge a lot. Now you have a quote, you have an idea of the very top end. Mags like Land Rover Monthly have lots of ads for specialist insurers. Ring them but don't tell them any quotes you have had, all they'll do is under cut them by a few quid. Just tell them they are the first you have rung.
Have done this for years with Kit Cars which are well-modified vehicles.
There ARE others who will insure you decently for less.
Good luck.
