Hi, Just like to introduce myself to the landyzone.

I bought my first Hippo last August it is a 3 door 54 reg TD4 auto, having had one previous owner and only 21500 miles done. My previous car was a Rover 75 CDTi, so I have the same engine and gearbox.

It has a full Land Rover service history but nothing showing for auto box oil change, so a week next Tuesday it is going into main dealer at a cost of £100 + vat to get the job done. Seems a reasonable price as I have read up on what is involved. I have to say after clocking up a few miles I am really very happy with it and mpg isn’t too bad considering.

Welcome, I'm pretty new here too (got my Tratter 90 this summer), nice bunch. Must admit I had to look elsewhere to see what a Hippo was!
21.5K.. seriously? Did they only drive down to the shed and back?

When I saw the ad I couldn’t believe the mileage. It did seem a bit choked with plodding about to and fro but new intercooler hoses and EGR decoke it was soon running sweet again.

Jatco (auto gearbox on the FL1) oil change is easy to do if yer follow the instructions correctly. If it gives yer peace of mind to get a dealer to do it then that's ok anorl. Good to see peeps looking after their hippo's.
