'Forgettable MK2 model'!!! pffftttt
There's going to be plenty of rust to sweep up at the 'Classic Facility'

"remaining in production alongside the forgettable Mk 2 model for two years"

Seriously?

Forgettable?

I dinnae think so pal!

I mean, "WHO" will ever forget the several days they spent bleeding coolant, weeks spent tracing EAS gremlins, months spent wondering if it was going to let you in, let alone start! :D:p

On a more serious note, anyone who stops for a chat when I'm in my "38" always seem to say the same thing, "This is my favourite model, shape, car, etc!"

I do like the original, but would I have one? Actually, no o_O

Must admit, a P38 in dark blue with cream trim is the one I'd have every single time....

Looks nice and a wealth of history and fun, but £135000 no way. I'd rather have the new 2017 Range Rover anyway everyday.

Gentlemen well divs ;) your missing the the point. What I'm saying is if I had £135000 to spend on a car, after all isn't this what the OP is talking about. I wouldn't buy the oldie I'd buy the newy tut tut tut.
Of course if I was sat in my oldy with 135000 and nothing else I'd go your road.
Now gather some pace keep up and leave the weed alone.:D

These are for collections. Aston are making their old cars again. Pointless. The car was an icon of its time but compared to driving a modern car it is a bit of a dog. So what's the point of recreating a dog? If it looked the same but underneath was better on road and off road then you might think it worth a project, a bit like that Jaguar one and the Jenson one. But never try to confuse it or dilute the cache of the original. Just a money exercise - like the Ejoke.

The Evoque ha provided many folks with jobs which is a good thing. I just look at them as an alternative product not really part of the Landrover evolution just a sidebar.
The biggest problem Evoque owners have is not the bigotry that they possibly encounter but where to get hold of "No hairdressing products are left in this vehicle overnight" stickers.

If I had the money, I'd commission LRC to restore my "forgettable" Mk2. Be nice to have her fully restored to original condition. Although I'd have the TD6 replaced with a TDV6 from the RRS/Disco3. As nice as this lil bus is to drive, she is screaming for more power.

Mk2 name makes the p38 sound desirable.
The Range Rover Mk2 v BMW p38.
Nah, still utter crap.

And stick a decent RF receiver in it.
