Well, I took a look and purchased. I said I would post a couple of photos, so here you are. Its a Disco 4, HSE.
63k on the clock. Will get a fresh MoT and fuel/ timing belts changed, by a local landy specialist. Comes with two keys, FSH, main dealer and land rover specialist stamps. 2 owners from new. Also comes with 12 month warranty (which includes potential damage due to the well known cam shaft issue) which I have extended to 24 months at my own expense.
Thank you all for the help and suggestions of what to inspect/ look out for. And may god have mercy upon my soul (and wallet).
I hope to pick up in a couple of weeks once the belts have been done.

Cheers! And thanks for your assistance! The Warrenty looks pretty bomb proof, but the devil is in the detail. Lets hope I never need to use it (yea, right!).

Congrats on the new toy, but I hope you hammered the dealer for at least a grand off the price for the stained and cracked number plate 🤣

I know it's your personal plate, just transferred it literally and administratively to the new vehicle, cracks and all

Aye, I picked them up on that; shiny new plates are included! Not sure they are worth a grand off, though. Pretty sure the MoT would have picked up on that too. Personally, my OCD would have not let me drive about in a car with plates in that state.

can't see any, and their site is stripped.

But looks like it COULD be an ex staff car, check previous owners.

This motor popped up on a previous thread.
If it's up for sale thens it's not worth keeping.
The guy on the previous thread also walked away.
You need to get underneath it and see how rusted out it is

The last V5 was issued on the 27th of June 2023, MoT 16th of March (failed on rear brake pads & adv. on a tyre) passed on 22nd of March 2023.
Traders do not have V5's issued to them so I'd be having a very good look or getting an RAC/AA inspection.

BTW, it's not an ex LR staff car, possibly ex-motoring magazine staff car. LR staff cars are typically only kept for six months.
I do wonder why the vanity plate wasn't retained though.

Thought possibly ex LRO due to that plate

Me too, just making the distinction between LR 'staff' and jouro 'staff' in case the OP wasn't aware of LRO

Which thread was this? Can you give me a link please? When I looked underneath I couldn’t see any rust.
I call BS on this….

I did take a very detailed look at this, inside, outside and underneath. No errors reported on code reader too. Couldn’t see any issues. Car drove fine. It’s got full history and only two owners. However, it’s my first Landy, so who knows….
