Hello to all members here, I'm new to this forum and new to landrover, well did have a Freelander many years ago.
I find myself in my greying years with a yearning all things disco 2 td5.
Savings accrued so I'm in the market for a disco. I've seen one and would appreciate some knowledge from the wealth of all members here if possible.
Looking to purchase a td5 with which the ace system has burst a pipe, a subsequent pulley and belt been fitted.
I've heard that from what I gather people have decommissioned the system and had an alternative fitted ? Is this achievable ? Is it expensive ? Or to buy a disco 2 with pulley and belt fitted is it a good move as other pipes may fail ?
Kind regards to you all

Welcome:).

I know nothing about the disco ACE but if your buying why not look around a bit more and get a fully working 1, on the other hand if you are handy with spanners and prepared to lose a bit more of your grey then go for it:). Its all fixable but you would really need to ask that in here.

Hi there and welcome
I don't know the first thing about ACE, but it seems a common trend people to replace one system with another or get rid completely because they don't want to learn something new or they think they are saving money

Hi @Discoverer22 and welcome to the asylum, lol

plus 1 what the others have said and indeed if u post a thread over in the discovery section we can also provide u with parts catalogues , personally have a D3 so don’t know to much about the D2’s Ace system but there are members who know D2’s inside/out

indeed if ur unfamiliar with the D2 always best to take someone with u or get a full inspection

Hope that also helps a little
