Hello everyone. I was not looking for 1998 D1 three months ago and now I have two. People around where I live seem to be scared to work on them so when something goes wrong they stop driving them then give them away. I have learned so much and have become enthralled in my D1's. I'm sure I will pester you all with silly questions but I will try to keep them to a minimum. Glad to be here.

I imagine your right, I have to replace the alternator so I'm going to that section now. I don't do any repairs without checking the forums. Too much great info.

We have one each, and a completely rotten one for spares
They are a fantastic vehicle in our opinion - and we intend keeping them forever, having had our fill of "modern" electronics which break, break and then break again ..... .....
