Hello all you wonderful people.

Girlfriend and I just bought our first Land Rover. She's always wanted a defender, so now we have a nice, respected 1988 110 300TDI (re engined) on the driveway. Needs a little work, but nothing major. I'm sure we'll be in here looking for advice soon.

Ben and Becks.

Welcome to lz, mate! :)

The One Ten doesnt look too silly for its age. I would think that was an ex-utility vehicle, judging by where the side hatch has been patched in.

Cheers! :)

It's had quite a bit of work over the years, including a new rear cross member, clutch and engine, as well as countless smaller bits of work. The paperwork puke is about 2" think.

We're thinking of doubling up on the battery as we'll probably be sleeping in the back a few times and we're interested in getting into a spot of green laning. I think they are a few local clubs around Bristol.

Cross member and rear chassis legs are usually the first part of those to rust out.

Have a look in the Green Laning section of the forum, you might find someone in your area will take you out! :)

Welcome to LZ fella!! Nice 110!! Bristol's my original neck of woods, where abouts in Bristol are you based? Whenever I'm back in Bristol I always go laning, you'd be more than welcome to join me if you'd like?
