Hi all, I am a new member just joined.
I have just bought a '02 Defender 90 and I am in the process of upgrading the lighting to LED. Lights were easy enough to fit, except fog and reversing light that didn't come with fixings but the main problem I have is cannot find where to fit the relay for the indicator lights. The video on You Tube bears no relationship to my Landy's configuration.
My configuration is, no relays behind the metal plate but 3 yellow and one brown below the metal plate and I have 3 relays under my drivers seat, 2 yellow and one black. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks Catman100

Welcome.
Turn the hazards on & listen.
It may be behind the fuse cover
Hi, thanks, tried that but couldn't hear anything over he sound of the indicators in the cab, so guess maybe not there, what I haven't tried is listening to the relays under the drivers seat.

Look my the gear levers. That black cover with 2 knobs remove it & see if there are any relays(you may see the tops behind the fuses) before you remove the dash

Be prepared before taking your dash out. I did it once on a 90 and it was way worse than expected. I still have nightmares about it

Hi, Thanks for the warning, I didn't have too much of a problem except that the plastic frame and holder ( not very technical description ) were cracked and broken in a couple of places, so I have made the decision to replace both. Watched a video on You Tube of how to do this and decided I will give it to a garage to do, happy to change a fuse but changing a dashboard is maybe a step too far. Maybe if I had a workshop or garage I would tackle it.

I’m happy enough to take my dash out on my RR even with all the computers. If I had to do another 90 dash - I myself would give it to a garage - can’t be dealing with that again :)
