Hi Folks,
I bought a '66 5 door in 2005 and it was my first Landy. I was shopping for a NAS D90. Wound up with a 109! I had nearly no idea what I had. It was a fire tender from Austria with around 12K miles on the clock. complete elephant skin interior intact. Almost like new.. I had the exterior repainted to the original pastel green that was the interior. Also removed the blue lights from up top and retained them.
I subsequently got into D90s and a 110. I sold the 109 to an aquaintance in 2013. Along the way I was learning landys and began to really miss and appreciate the 109 I had let go.
Well, I just bought her back to join the stable. Now the clock is at 18,000 mile and she's exactly as I sold her.
Absolutely tickled. I'm going to add a Fairey Capstan winch I had picked up and a Roamer Overdrive unit. With a little luck, she will be my dream Landy
