Hello landyzoners

I have wanted a Land Rover of at least some description for most of my life but a few things have got in the way..
Fortunately my old man was down at Christmas and I managed to persuade him into giving me his.

Unfortunately I live in south cornwall and he lives on Skye so transporting it the 800 miles home isn’t going to be cheap or easy.
The Land Rover in question is a 1949 80” that when we got it was pretty much restored but after having it for fifteen or so years and driving it around the highlands it’s a bit ropey so it won’t make the trip on its own

When I finally get it here i will ask all the questions in the relevant places

Cheers and hello again.

It’s currently in a barn away from the house. Both these images I found on google.

It’s sporting a 2 litre turbo Perkins prima we found hiding in an early Range Rover. It had a different perkins when we got it.
It doesn’t come with any spares but it does have a lovely capstan winch we never fitted
