Hi there to all, just wanted to share that I can vouch that dreams definitely do come true as I'm finally (after three decades of dreaming) the 'more than happy' owner of a Land Rover, a 1996 Discovery 2.5 TDI :D I work full-time as a professional wildlife artist and hope to one day have the nerve to do a little off-roading. Looking forward to getting to know LR club members :)

hope you took someone hwo knows there landrovers with you then or you just may have bought a load of pound signs to put it right welcome by the way

Thats what i thought when i bought my 300 tdi :bounce: cost me a fortune and tore me hair out at times but love is blind! Enjoy and welcome!:D

Hi there and thanks for your 'welcome'. I bought my landy from a friend, he's a mechanic and has kept it in really good condition etc having had all it's services/passed MOT's etc. It wasn't really for sale in the first place but he knew I was after one and he'd got his heart set on a motorbike and the rest is history so they say ;)

Thanks for your 'welcome' and yep I do intend to enjoy my LR to the full and if that means donning some overalls and learning how to weld then I'm all for it - life's a continuous learning curve that we should ride like the crest of a wave! ;)

Welcome to the dark side !! You can weld though right, and you know how to remove the gearbox !! soon will !!!:hysterically_laughi:hysterically_laughi

Cheers for that, I think!
Just hoping that a 50:50 mixture of enthusiasm and insanity will see me through ;)

It will, as will your your wit to see you through this site, welcome. Oh I have a Dicovery I'll sell you for spares when you need them. :D:D:rolleyes:

Welcome to the madhouse, Kerry.

There's just two things you need to know about owning a Land Rover:

a) If it ain't broke, it soon will be

b) If it is broke, there'll be someone on this forum that knows how to fix it

And if you need any tools, let me know.
