Yeah the handbrake is crap and the doozils do have a propensity fir ingesting turbos, but my query was in regard to reliability. Compared to the Freelander (it's lr equivalent) mine has been superb. (mine is a 2.0 petrol).

Talk about high-jacking a thread! I thought that LenB's post was about a mag not bloody P38's so could we get back to the original subject folks. Anyone else got any input regarding this mag?
Is it 2 ply or 4? Also is it embosed for a softer feel?

Me old mans is the same.Eats clutches when towing, cant idle steady for ****, summit with the fuel pump.....etc,etc.So much so his looking at gaylander2sOf course it was a diesel, I live in france and diesel is much cheaper than petrol
Drum handbrakes inside discs work well if they are properly designed, the Xtrail's are so bad it would not pass the French MOT without over adjustment. Almost impossible to start on a hill with the caravan on the back. Nissan admitted that it was a design fault, then told me to eff off
Truly a complete bag of ****e. Oh and the SatNav was worse then useless, I reckon the mapping was circa 1970.
The Navarro is even worse for reliability.
