Hi and welcome!

Lots of good help and advice on here and on the internet. Buy on condition and not age. Unless you don’t mind lots of work, get one with a good chassis and bulkhead as these are expensive to replace. Diesel is okay but if you’re getting a Series 3 as a second vehicle, a petrol engine is better and has more power. The diesel is very slow and the fuel economy is not much better than the petrol one.

So a per troll one would be the better choice then ?

Chassis condition and bulkhead condition. Bear in mind there's also the potential for quite a lot of years of bodging on the electrical side anorl:D
Tax free and not exempt for many though.
What's your budget?

If you're after something you can drive home you might struggle looking at Ebay and gumtree at the mo but this got my attention....
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/153862127835
Or for me personally....
Please view this ad: Landrover Series 3 1977, https://www.gumtree.com/p/cars-vans-motorbikes/landrover-series-3-1977/1370147942?utm_source=com.google.android.apps.docs&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=socialbuttons&utm_content=app_android Price: £ 2,000 Download the application from the Google Play Store. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.gumtree.android

But that's cos I like a challenge :p Oh and I've already got a swb 2a:D

Moving about the country buying stuff might be a challenge at the mo though in the current coronavirus situation

Yes , the virus is gonna restrict me and where I go to look , well done on swb s2 , I’d love one of those but they really hold their money lol I don’t mind taking on a project as I’m a qualified hgv mechanic lol but nothing too drastic as I don’t have much space

Hey Brian

many thanks , well , I’m working on it but it’s proving difficult unless I can do a full rebuild lol
