UK can't keep up with demand, so got to build new factories. They are building a big place in Brazil. Would say it is all down to demand and profit. It takes 6 months to get a land rover speced and shipped to the US. Not many on dealer lots, customer has to take what is there, Not what they want........ Lower labor costs, no union to deal with, lower taxes to be paid etc,etc........
Every major car and construction vehicle manufacturer have factories/assembly plants dotted around the globe. It's not unusual and it's normally a sign that business is good for that company.
Most Kias you see on the road today are built in Slovakia.
