Hi people new Landy nutter here not to long ago i shelled out on a defender 90 and in a month still shelling the £ :D

I'm used to messing round with toyota's (pickup/surfs) had sum fun with them now for a bit of a change :)

I have spent best part over £1000 in a week on new parts an need to spend abit more on it i think? Could do with abit of help and advice if a some people could help me would be much appreciated
 
Dig Your furry boots out mate, Where you from? I have just joined the club and not ling made my first purchase! Had a lot of that Jap stuff in Afghan! Got to say that it was good if a little too refined!

I'm from warrington just shelled out £2200 on a can of wormes went to see in in the night :eek: money was burning a hole in my pocket.
Two good things only two chassi no rot and bulkhead no rot:)
I do like to mess and get dirty with trucks I have a very large mind for learning when I put my hands on tools.

I can fold steel, alloy, weld them bend them multi skilled on fabrication.
 
Sounds like you should earn some money by making some fake catalytic converters!! For when some poncy EU law comes in!! Looks like a Cat but actually a straight through job! If it looks the job then it will pass the MOT etc....

What did you buy?
 
1988 defender 90 with a 200tdi defender block, neat job but not 100% no air intake on near side so air box just sucking in warm air so got a snorkel just need do a bit of cutting welding and sealing just one of the jobs on list for it I hav a kind of OCD on workmanship it's needs be 101%
 
Ah pretty good, but thats the love of the landy, its a labour of love! Unfortunatley id take you up on some of that powder coating but am a little far, start a new thread offering service and give your location etc in the title.
