Hi good people,

I have bought back my 2002 4.4i L322, after selling it in 2015. It was mint back then, not quite as minty now.

Most of it is small fixes, but I have a couple of things I was wondering about.

It gives the Trans failsafe prog on start up, with the gear selector screen blank. So I was thinking it might be the inhibitor switch=? They are stupid expensive new, has anyone had any luck fixing or cleaning theirs?

Stereo is dead. The screen is lit, but black. Might be water ingress, since the sunroof has a leak, but how to check/fix?

Battery lamp is lit. Checked and it charges fine. According to former owner, it came on after he changed battery. Anything obvious I am looking for?

sounds suspiciously like all related to the battery change to me. what voltage do you get from the battery? what does it read with the engine running?

Around 14+. Cant remember specifically right now, but read it as normal. Drove it 150 miles without problems on pick up. But can put it on a charger.

But thought it might be something related to a wrong installment of the battery
 
Hi, I would certainly consider getting the damp out. I use dehumidifier pillows in the glovebox and NSR electrical gear space. On my last RR I had to microwave the pillows every week for a month when I first had it just to get rid of damp. Is the spare wheel well dry? It can get upto a cm deep puddle if water is getting in the boot. Hopefully, it’s just one step at a time to get sorted.
