Hi all, so I've got my 99 disco td5 and want to sort a new key as only came with one and I'm a bit stuck. I've searched google and this forum and would just like some clarification from someone who may have done this before. So I buy a brand new valeo key and blank blade Part No. CWE100680KIT, get the blade cut at a cobblers or wherever then, can I program the fob myself using the on/off, eight second thing or does it need to be done professionally by a computer at a dealer or independent?? I have tried the searches etc but can't get it clear in my mind which one it is for a new key. I have found one for sale at Ignition Key Discovery 2 (CWE100680KIT) From Brookwells Land Rover Parts

Thanks.

Yes, or any one with Testbook or any similar kit can do it.

Hi Ian, it's very straightforward. You buy the key (part no. as you said) ensuring that it comes with it's bar-code as that is ESSENTIAL to the coding-in process.

You then find someone close to you who has a Nanocom, Hawkeye or Testbook and they will be able to 'attach' that key to your cars' systems.

The barcode aint essential with a Nanocom Biglad. You can read the number off the chip.;)

Thanks Rob that is brilliant. I will give you a shout as and when I get the key. More than likely nearer the end of November. Thanks again...
