They might have moved it on later ones, mine was a '64 and like this - ignition bottom centre.

Ive been looking through old photos all bleedin night trying to find one of the interior. It wasnt a fun car in them days just another tool on the farm. I cant even find a photo of the outside.

What I said in the first reply to your post...and also said replace ignition and live with 2 keys to open and start vehicle..

Well I have been reliably informed by the Mrs that indeed when we were courting and I picked her up in the 2a the keys often fell out of the central ignition whilst driving.
Apparently it was her job to knock the cow crap off them and put them back in.
