hi & welcome rob lets hope that misfire aint water steam cleaning 1 of your pistons, old saying is buy cheap buy twice:eek: beware the seller could have been more clued up than you think, lets hope its a easy fix;)

Hi wil, yeh could be i suppose. not really that fussed if its a bit major......... means I can play and do the stuff that floats my boat. Drove it back to mine from Watford today, thats about eighty miles, no overheating and temp guage rock steady. will check water level tomorrow and see what happening there. No water in oil and no toothpaste on the cap so heres hopeing!!!!!:)

Welcome to LZ & nice choice by the way (i have the same model / year). That's a cracking price you paid too.:)
I'd keep the light guards on personally - just fitted some to mine.
Hope the misfire is a simple fix.

One little word of advice if you're new to the world of the P38 - check out the plethora of stuff on the forum about the RF receiver. Even a 2002 could still be susceptible to the unnecessary pain it can cause!
(basically it's a little box which the key talks to and pre-2004 it could cause battery drain - it's under the rear RH parcel shelf (little black box) and should have a green spot :) )
