i am new here and looking for help i have aquired a f reg 90 tdi as a project but fallen at the first hurdle with the gear box i can start the engine with the landrover in gear and it not move i can depress the clutch and select any gear but releasing the clutch it still wont try to move so i suspect the transfer box being the problem or maybe a layshaft issue but would like to know a few more opinions on this before stripping the gear box out also am i faster and cheaper to rebuild the transfer box or replace it if it is the suspect problem ? also which transfer box should i idealy be looking for ? i am guessing it is a lt77 gearbox with a lt230t transfer box fitted at the min?
