I'll be buying a new one for my rebuild and I'm just going to get the cheapest, a tank is a tank, so aslong as all the holes are in the right place it should be fine.

as long as the holes are in the right place, the metal for the seals are good, same with welds and it doesn't leak.. oh and good metal so it doesn't rust right away.. then you'll be fine :D

i had a britpart one and it got replaced three times due to corrosion and leaking. i did price up genuine land rover but it was about £500. so just ordered the cheapest one i could from paddocks and a bearmach one arrived, still made ine china though

^^ This. Not Britpart. The paint came off mine in 6 months. I don't expect it to last much longer.

I bouht the paddocks cheapo bearmach one.

Before fitting i went mad spraying it with chassis black and underseal . Between the shield and tank as well.

you can also get those kits which form a plastic tank inside the old one.

Did exactly the same, Who said it takes two Hrs ? Took me six from start to finish, and how dirty a job is it !! Hope the new one lasts 21 years or more
