as per my local land rover dealer, the replacment for the freelander comes out the end of 2006, all new shape with tdi manuals only at first, all running gear will derive from jag. if its any thing like the mess thay call
discovery now.....well, carnt wait.

Q is - will running gear be retrospectively changeable? - can we upgrade from 1.8 petrol with all of its problems to a Jag V10 supercharged lump and drive train..... I DONT THINK SO!
 
Well any conversion is possible (mmmmm V8) but it depends how much time and money you want to throw at it.
