I used a piece of plastic as the original bit broke off - think it was fibreglass.If you can make your own under wing top brackets that's what I have done in the past and will be doing with the one I am restoring now
Thanks I'll get some tap washers tomorrowI've just done mine. Try YRM Solutions they sell the mud shields and the fixings. The bracket to fix the top can either be riveted or glued. I used Gorilla epoxy glue. Very pleased with results. Trip from the other post on this is to use three quarters inch tap washers as spacer between the bulkhead and the mud shields to create an air space that reduces corrosion and can be cleaned out. The washer also gives a watertight seal to the bolts so no water entry into the footwells.
