Hi guys, its looking more and more like I have a slipped liner . Does anyone know of a decent value for money short engine .

Take a look at Turner Engineering. They have a website that details everything. You will get an understanding of the costs involved. Your biggest headache will be the labour charges to replace the engine iof you are unable to do it yourself
 
i bought a short engine for mine last year, it had been tested and know to be goodcose me £500. if you need any info on them send me a pm..
 
the ali block cracks usualy near stud hole behind liner the liner only slips if you get it hot enough for piston to drag it the liner sits on a step that has to be broken before liner moves,just get a top hat linered block and swap yout parts with new rings and brgs
 
Am just researching options at the mo , dont want to spend a massive amount and there seems to be a massive difference in block prices from 500-3000. Whats the best priced top hat linered block? Is the £500 one top hat linered J the range?
 
No Luck from Joe at this time, but did say that if I dont have any luck, to call him back in the next couple of weeks.

Anyone else got a source for a reasonably priced Block? Pref top hat linered
