Hi,

I just bought a '96 Disco 300tdi. Most things seem OK on it barring the usual door spring problem, so not too bad for £650

The thing that is doing me noggin' in most is that my pedals squeak whenever I use them. The sound is coming from the pedal box and not the cable(s), but I cannot figure how the hell to access it to squirt some oil at it. Can anyone tell me the best way to access it to stop the squeak?

Also, where is the temp sensor? is it on the head or the thermostat assembly?

Re the temp sensor - which one. There are two !!

One in the thermostat housing that operates the temp gauge and the other is in the head and feeds signals to either the EGR ecu or the EDC ecu, depending on model.
