Good news. Turned out to be a burnt distributer and rotor arm
Cars is now running sweet. . .and no . . .no blown head gasket.
Wohooooo !!
Now, all i have to do is keep my weekly checks on the collant and coolant hoses, and stop the car if it begins to overheat, and I should never do the head gasket in
Also replaced the centre bearings on the propshaft. no more scraping noises. Car is running like a dream.
If anyone ever wants to increase the power of their vehicle by three or four times, I suggest replacing the HT leads after doing 100k. Man ! so much more power now out of this little car
The pack-to distributer lead btw, that can only be obtained from LR due to an oversized rubber boot required on the pack.
