Hi everyone,

Recently imported a 1999 110. Import was an expensive pita but it's here now and I'm looking forward to getting it cleaned up. Seems to have some common issues for the year/mileage...door corrosion, oil in injector harness, etc.

Pics to follow, will definitely be looking for forum help/advice as I take it apart and put it back together. :)

Chime in with anything you notice that you think I might missed.

Cheers,

John

Gave it a quick wash and vac, reinstalled the seats with whatever hardware was in the vehicle and took some detailed pics:

Exterior...definitely been well used:

Rear seat belts; seat attaching hardware and interior trim panels are AWOL.

Door corrosion...the front doors are "ok", the rear doors and rear cargo door are probably too far gone:

Frame/chassis/driveline:

Actually pretty solid. It appears that my corrosion problems are mostly limited to body panels.

It's also leak free/drip free after parking in the same spot for 48 hours.

More digging, few more pics:

Power seemed surprisingly strong for a TD5 with 308k kms...took a look under the passenger seat and sure enough there's a "Powerlink" box attached to the ECM:
