"Thanks to support from LARA and GLASS, Derbyshire CC's proposed order dated
8th April 2014 to add a Byway Open to All Traffic along Sough Lane SK1270-02
has been confirmed. Objections received from anti-motorist groups caused
the order to be referred to PINS on behalf of the Secretary of State earlier
this year, but after considering written evidence from LARA, GLASS, PDVUG
and other user groups, the PINS Inspector has determined the route should be
added to the Definitive Map as a BOAT effective from 19th August. Trailwise
has been updated accordingly.

This is a lovely little lane, I've walked and driven it a number of times when staying at Blackwell. Not somewhere you'd drive a long way for, just a nice lane if you're passing, with good views across to Millers Dale ... ;)

That is certainly good news, and will be welcomed by all those with an interest in vehicle access in the countryside! :)
Well done to all concerned, nice to see a reversal of the usual trend!
